Privacy policy

GoldPan is a Chrome extension by Amit Jadhav that hides unwanted posts from your LinkedIn feed, sorts your feed into tabs you define, and highlights the posts and people that match what you are looking for.
What GoldPan reads
While you are on linkedin.com, GoldPan reads, on your device, the posts in your feed and the LinkedIn pages you open yourself (search results, profiles, notifications, saved posts), only to decide whether to show, collapse, tag or score them. When you click into a post or comment box, it reads your draft locally to suggest fixes or comment ideas. When you grab a Nugget, GoldPan reads the words you selected; for images it takes a picture of the visible LinkedIn tab, or reads the selected image from LinkedIn’s image server, and turns it into text on your device. That picture is discarded once read. When you open a tab’s “All of LinkedIn” view, GoldPan opens LinkedIn’s own post search for that tab’s words or hashtags, and reads the results on your device in the same way as your feed.
What GoldPan stores
Your settings and ideal-buyer description; daily counts of hidden posts and topic counts for Market Pulse; a list of authors seen in your feed with counts; short snippets of posts flagged as buying signals or high ideal-buyer scores (saved leads and Engage today); posts you choose to save to your library; Nuggets you grab (the text, a small thumbnail for images, the author’s name, headline and profile link, the post link, the time, the ideal-buyer score, your tags, notes and reminders); your tabs (their names, words, people and filters), the posts each tab matched (author, headline, profile and post links, a short snippet and the time, kept for 21 days for the columns view), which posts each tab has already shown you (to mark what is new), and which leads you deleted (so they are not saved again); and monthly usage counts for free quotas. All of this is stored locally on your device. You can export or delete it at any time from the dashboard.
What GoldPan sends
Nothing. GoldPan has no servers and makes no network requests. Licence keys are verified offline on your device. There is no analytics, tracking, advertising or data sale. Reminders and the morning brief are local notifications from your device; nothing is emailed. If you click “Ask Claude” or “Open in NotebookLM” in your library or Nuggets, GoldPan copies a prompt or downloads a file on your device and opens that site in a new tab; you decide whether to paste or upload it there, under that service’s own privacy policy.
Actions on your account
GoldPan never posts, likes, comments, follows, unfollows, connects or messages on your behalf, and it only runs a LinkedIn search when you click a tab’s “All of LinkedIn”. Comment ideas are only placed in the comment box when you click; you decide whether to post. “Mute author” only affects what GoldPan shows you; LinkedIn is not informed.
Payments
If you buy Pro, payment is processed by ModelCam Technologies through PayU (India) or Stripe (international), under their privacy policies. Through the payment page we receive your name, email address and, for Indian payments via PayU, your mobile number. We use these only to send your licence key and to help you if there is a problem with your purchase. We never sell or share them, and we don't use them for marketing without your consent.
